The best clinical outcomes in my practice since 2007 have been achieved through the combination of testing appropriately, detailed questionnaires, along with a thorough medical history.
Combining the latest scientific testing through blood panels, urine, saliva, stool analysis and DNA is one of the best pathway in identifying the underlying causes of your symptoms.
A personalised plan can then be delivered to assist with potential healing and change.
In order to treat one part of the organism effectively (being you) then all of your parts must be considered to create transformation.
Through testing appropriately you can often catalyse change across multiple systems within your body.
Some of the functional tests below may be suggested to you if further investigation is warranted.
If through investigation further medical support is needed then I will refer you to my network of General Practitioners or Specialists or work with yours so that you receive the best care.
Digestive Function Tests
Complete Digestive Stool Analysis (CDSA)
CDSA provides an overview of your digestion, absorption, intestinal function and micro flora as well as testing for unwanted passengers on board like pathogenic bacteria, parasites and yeasts.
The test in non invasive and is performed in the comfort of your own home. Super easy to follow with clear instructions. It is one of the best tests you can do for your overall health particularly if you are dealing with issues lie:
- Digestive disorders
- Autoimmune disease
- Allergies or intolerance
- Mood disorders like depression and anxiety
Functional Liver Detoxification Profile (FLDP)
This is a valuable test for those with conditions like:
- Food allergies
- Multiple chemical sensitivities
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- Fibromyalgia
- Hormonal imbalances – PMS, menopausal symptoms, fibroids, endometriosis, adenomyosis.
Intestinal Permeability (Leaky Gut)
The intestinal permeability (IP) assesses whether you in fact do have leaky gut.
Leaky gut is often a root cause for those who have conditions like:
- IBS
- Allergy or intolerance
- Autoimmune disease
- Arthritis
- Eczema, psoriasis or acne
- Hormonal imbalances – endometriosis, PCOS, adenomyosis, low thyroid function.
3-Day Parasitology
Symptoms of parasitic infection are diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, cramps, fatigue and weight loss.
You can have an infection and have no symptoms.
The parasites commonly detected include Blastocystis hominis, Dientamoeba fragilis, Giardia lamblia, Endomilax nana, Entamoeba histolytica and Cryptosporidium parvum. If any other parasites are detected they will also be reported.
Candida testing
Genetic Diagnostic Testing
MTHFR Gene Testing
HORMONES – SALIVA
Baseline Plus Adrenal Hormone Profile
This test measures hormonal status along with adrenal cortisol (stress) and therefore the impact this may be having on your physical and emotional health.
Particularly useful if you have any of the following symptoms:
- Weight gain
- Mood swings
- Sleep disturbances
- Low libido
- Hot flushes
- Anxiety or depression
- Headaches
- Low energy.
Melatonin Profile
Melatonin is secreted in a distinct circadian rhythm. Stimulated by darkness, inhibited by light and is independent of sleep.
Levels of melatonin in the body tend to decrease with age and low levels may lead to:
- Insomnia
- Decreased immunity
- Depression
- Fatigue.
2 & 16 Urinary Oestrogen Metabolites
This test assesses oestrogen metabolism in men and women. High levels of circulating oestrogen are proliferative and potentially dangerous so it is crucial that they are broken down efficiently and removed from the body.
This test is useful if you have any symptoms of hormonal imbalances.
Amino Acids Testing
This test is useful if you are dealing with any issues of sleep disorders, anxiety, depression, or chronic stress.
Urine Kryptopyroles (Pyroluria)
This test is useful if there are any mood, behavioral, addiction, anxiety issues and any digestive disorders.
Hair Mineral Analytics
This is a safe, non-invasive test that measures the levels and comparative ratios of nutrients and toxic metals found in the hair.
It can detect excess or deficiency in key minerals like – calcium, potassium, zinc, magnesium, and iron.
It also assesses toxic metals like aluminum, lead, arsenic and mercury.
Blood Tests
Thyroid Panel – TSH, t3, t4, thyroid antibodies, reverse t3, iodine status
FOOD SENSITIVITY PROFILE
General Pathology Tests
I partner with Douglas Hanley Moir and Laverty to be able to request any general pathology tests that you may need.
Some common general pathology that may be useful are:
- Cardiovascular panels – homocysteine, lipids (cholesterol).
- Metabolic panels – thyroid function, glucose, insulin, hba1c.
- Hormone panels
- Fertility panels
